If you throw away eggshells after you use them, you’re missing out on some great opportunities to improve your gardening, and even your health. Add eggshells to potting soil to up the nutrients of the dirt your plant lives in. Crumbling pieces of eggshells around the base of your plant to fend off cats and slugs. Next time you use an egg just crack the top and try to leave the bottom part in tact– you’ll then have a completely organic container for seeding.
