Today’s Solutions: December 17, 2025

Most of us spend a lot of time every day in front of one screen or another. But the blue light emitted by your device’s screen can actually do damage to your eyes. Thankfully there are precautionary measures you can take to limit, if not prevent, any lasting damage to your sight caused by device strain. First is the 20-20-20 rule—stare at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes, this exercise engages distant vision and resets your eyes. Secondly, ditch your device before you go to sleep. Studies show that our sleep is greatly impacted when we use a device before bed. Finally, if you’re still having trouble, you can get special lenses or glasses that filter the harmful blue light.
