The first 3-D printed electric car took around 44 hours to complete printing, two days to assemble, and is comprised of just 40 pats. Powered by a Renault Twizy drivetrain the electric car, called Strati, is capable of doing 40mph and is made of 15% carbon-reinforced ABS thermoplastic. You might not be printing a car at your house anytime soon, but Strati is a great example of how personalized manufacturing is going to be in the future.
