Exercise benefits your body and mind, obviously. But many studies only looked at the long-term impact of exercise, and not what happens to you in the minutes or hours after exercise. A new study did exactly that and measured the moods of those that took a 30-minute walk during their lunch hour. Researchers discovered that those who walked during their lunch were less tense, more enthusiastic, and more relaxed after they returned to work. The study didn’t track productivity, but other studies have and found that those who exhibit the same emotions as those that walked were more productive at work. So go out and take a stroll it’s good for your body and career.
