As it turns out, getting a good sweat in multiple times a week will make you live longer. A recent study tracked more than 2,000 middle-aged men for 21 years. The study found that those who basked in a Sauna two to three times per week had a 22 percent lower risk of dying from cardiac arrest. Additionally those who took a sauna four to seven times per week had a 63 percent lower chance of dying from cardiac arrest. There are many saunas—from hot and steamy to dry and parched—so what kind did the study find ideal? A dry, hot sauna that ran between 176-212° Fahrenheit.
