Some 7.7 million people are now employed across the global renewable energy value chain, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). That’s up 18 percent from 6.5 million in 2014. In other words, renewable energy job creation continues to far outpace that for economies overall. In fact, it creates twice as many jobs as fossil fuel development. Will governments get the memo in time for the international climate talks in Paris in six months?
