Next month at a McDonald’s branch inside a US hospital, fryers will be turned off and the doors will be closed. Cleveland Clinic, recognized as one of the top medical centers in the world, has decided not to renew the lease. It’s part of a wider effort to promote “a culture of wellness,” in which, e.g., employees are offered free access to the gym. That all sounds great, but still, we can’t help wondering: What’s a fastfood joint doing at a hospital, anyway?!
