Here’s a treatment that people living with type 2 diabetes will actually enjoy: wine. A new study suggests that a glass of wine every day can improve cardiac health, help manage cholesterol and foster better sleep. The study also stresses that the benefits of red wine outweigh the benefits of white wine, with red improving cholesterol by nearly 10%. For people without any disease, other studies have found that those who consume alcohol in moderation enjoy better health than those who don’t. So let us raise a glass to the health benefits of wine.
