In the past decade, a lot of online tools have been developed to support cognitive behavioral therapy, like smartphone apps and computer programs. These seem beneficial especially because people can decide to turn to these tools whenever they choose to. More research is necessary to find out what the best combinations of personal and digital care would be for people with depression, anxiety and emotional distress.
