New research from the University of Liverpool suggests getting angry at work can, sometimes, actually be good for you. Before you start yelling at your supervisor or the copy machine, thinking it will help you, please note the researchers were looking at moral anger, which is motivated by the desire to “defend others or the greater good.” The researchers claim that this type of anger is actually beneficial. “By prompting helping behaviour, moral anger attempts to reconcile disparity, repair damaging situations, restore equity and improve the human condition,” said Dirk Lindebaum from the University’s Management School.
