Today’s Solutions: January 10, 2025

Don’t take this news with a pinch of salt. While the name may sound contradictory, there is nothing fishy about it. A new shop in Minnesota, called Herbivorous Butcher, will sell a variety of all-natural, locally sourced meat alternatives. It’s the newest venture of siblings Aubry and Kale (no joke) Walch, who are already known in the area for their ‘cruelty-free’ meat and cheese substitutes. This new butcher’s will now offer a variety of choice for those looking for a more vegan diet without compromising on taste and texture. It is not the first of its kind, though. In 2010, a similar concept store, The Vegetarian Butcher, opened in The Hague, The Netherlands, claiming to be the world’s first meat alternative butcher’s.
