There’s no correlation between the number of rainy days in a country and the levels of happiness of its people. And we don’t buy that. According to the latest update of the World Happiness Report by the United Nations, the top 5 happiest countries are all Northwestern—rain rich—European countries. Denmark leads, followed by Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Finland. Then come Canada and The Netherlands and only in the 8th position is a country with a decent amount of sunshine: New Zealand. Burundi has a lot of sunshine but is the least happy country in the world. So, at least by UN metrics, happiness has nothing to do with the sunshine.
