The European Patent Office has announced its annual shortlist for its European Inventor Awards, which honors a range of scientists across industries. The list presents twelve inventions that could be truly groundbreaking. From “gluten-free gluten-like proteins” to “reducing emissions with ammonia” and from a “treatment for Parkinson’s disease” to “transistors made of paper”.
