Readers of online news don’t like ads. That’s why there are ad blockers. It’s a problem for publishers who need the revenue to survive (and we know about that at The Optimist Daily). Now AdBlock Plus, the ad-busting browser extension that has been downloaded more than half a billion times, is partnering with Flattr, a service that allows people to donate money to any online content provider they like—from major publishers to indie artists—to help readers pay publishers. We do certainly welcome that!
