Dubbed the ‘eROT,’ this shock absorber generates kinetic energy generated by the movement of the car’s suspension while making the ride much smoother. With each little movement, energy is converted into electricity which is then fed into to the car’s onboard battery system. Audi plans to put the eROT into production cars in the future, and will hopefully inspire other companies to take similar action.
