For the first time in the third quarter of 2016, in the U.S. a majority of business travelers was choosing ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft over traditional taxis and rental cars combined. The statistics come from am expense report software company. The company processes 10 million ground transportation receipts between July 1 and September 30 and found that 48 percent of the business travelers used Uber; 4 percent used Lyft; the rest rented cars or used taxis.
