Competition drives the clean energy revolution in an exponential way to faster and better outcomes. We see that with electric cars where new models seem to break battery range records weekly. And the cost of building solar plants has declined by 25 percent in just five months. Now a similar development is driving the cost of offshore wind power downwards. An offshore deal in The Netherlands in July stunned the industry with a price of 7.25 euro cents per KWh. Only weeks later a Danish tender came out at 6 euro cents per KWh.
