As far as we know, the Dutch haven’t figured out this very effective solution: A lock that emits chemicals that make would-be thieves throw up and run away. The “SkunkLock” breaks the cycle of ever bigger and stronger locks challenged by ever stronger tools to break them. Says the inventor: “The only real solution was some sort of fundamental deterrent.”
