Four leading financial institutions are now planning to divest from industries that cut down forests. That should be a call to action for the,in total, 150 financial institutions from around the world that hold $2.8 trillion in shares, loans, or bonds in companies that contribute most heavily to deforestation. And you can help by switching to a more environmentally-friendly bank.
