Here’s a proper rebuttal to the argument that renewable energy is taking jobs away from workers. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S solar employs more workers than any other energy industry, including coal, oil and natural gas combined. In fact, solar is responsible for producing 14 percent of new jobs in the U.S. in 2016. Wind energy saw a growth in employment of 32 percent since 2015, a testament to how fast renewable energy is growing in America.
