In February 2015, a group of business leaders, including the CEO’s of Unilever and Salesforce and led by Richard Branson committed themselves to completely offset the harmful emissions of companies processed by 2050. A great goal that also seemed far away. Now Salesforce has shown that “net-zero” can be achieved much sooner. The company has been investing in a way that creates a carbon-neutral cloud and in environmental projects that have a social and economic impact in the developing world. And Salesforce hit the mark this month—33 years ahead of the deadline.
