Remember the world without smart phones? That’s only ten years ago. That was a radical, exponential change. Some experts predict that the entry of the self-driving electric car will follow a similar revolutionary path. And, today, that may be as hard to imagine as the introduction of the iPhone was in 2006. Here’s futuristic forecast by Stanford University economist Tony Seba. He predicts that eight years from now gas or diesel cars, buses, or trucks will not be sold anywhere in the world anymore. Seba also forecasts that people will stop driving altogether. They will switch en masse to self-drive electric vehicles.
