After members of the European Parliament asked experts whether organic food was truly healthier than conventionally grown food, the experts returned with an array of studies highlighting the danger of pesticides in non-organic food. One study found that pregnant women who had traces of pesticides were more likely to have mental development issues. Another study calculated that an estimated 13 million IQ points a year are lost as a result of pesticides. Organic food, however, contains no pesticides, or low levels, and has a decreased risk of allergic diseases. Go organic, and spare your brain from dangerous pesticides.
