Amazon, the new owner of Whole Foods Market, has announced that it will begin lowering prices of the health food chain starting today. Amazon aims to help the grocer shed its “Whole Paycheck” reputation for high prices that are generally 15 to 25 percent above rivals. Amazon is also planning to begin selling Whole Foods products online. The moves should make more healthy food available to more people—and that is a very good thing.
