Soon after, the automobile powered by the internal combustion engine began changing the world. But the days of the car as we know it, fueled by gas, are over, according to an “obituary” by The Economist. The British newspaper predicts that the transition to the electric car will be faster than we now expect, albeit that the road to change will be bumpy.
