Philip Morris International, the producer of Marlboro, has announced that it wants to give up cigarettes for its New Year’s resolution. To be clear, Philip Morris is not giving up tobacco, just cigarettes. The company claims that cigarette alternatives are less harmful and that public health would be improved if people switched from cigarettes to “better” products.
