Highway underpasses are usually no-go zones at night, but not in this Polish city. Designers converted a dark tunnel in the city of Katowice, Poland, into a colorful neon-lit sound installation. From the ceiling, PVC pipes hang and create a variety of sound effects every time a strong breeze rolls, and pedestrians can interact with the installation as they pass by. Wouldn’t it be nice if more cities could turn their dark underpasses into works of art?
