Fake news has a powerful ability to mislead millions of people and has been seen as a direct threat to democracy. That’s why thousands of schools all over the world have adopted a curriculum to teach kids how to distinguish facts from fiction. The curriculum was developed by a U.S.-based nonprofit, and it aims to provide children news and media literacy skills so that they can look at content critically and spot fishy articles when it appears before them. So far, educators from all 50 U.S. states and 69 countries have opted to include the curriculum in their courses.
