A newborn town in France has opened the world’s first solar panel road. The one-kilometer-long street has 2,800 square meters of solar panels built into it, came at a price of $5.2 million, and took five years to produce. This is an important development for the solar industry and could potentially provide insight into how to further improve the current technologies and make them more efficient.
