Major consumer goods companies have joined hands to create a recycling platform in an attempt to solve the plastic-waste problem. The platform is called Loop and it involves companies selling their products in reusable containers which are to be sent back by the consumers once the product is finished. Each package in the system is designed to withstand 100 or more uses. This commendable initiative represents a major step towards a less of a throw-away society which could effectively mitigate the alarming plastic waste crisis the world is facing today.
