More companies nowadays are looking for innovative ways to transform their rudimentary business strategies into greener ones that spare the planet. One such company, Lyft, has committed itself to attaining complete carbon neutrality in the near future. Though sometimes it’s quite hard to say whether these promises will be delivered on, Lyft’s effort to slash its carbon footprint is looking more legitimate by the day after the on-demand transportation firm announced plans to expand availability of electric and hybrid vehicles available through the app. Through the launch of “Green Mode”, users will be able to explicitly request an electric or hybrid vehicle when they order a ride. The feature is already available in Seattle and will soon be available to more riders across the country.
