The popular television show The Office has been described as funny and ridiculous, amongst other things, but seldom has it been labeled as life-saving. Now it can enjoy that label after a young man from Arizona rescued an unconscious woman using the CPR technique he learned from watching The Office. The rescuer, who had never been trained in CPR, apparently copied what he had seen on the show in order to resuscitate a woman slumped over the wheel of her car. He even sang the Bee Gees’ song “Stayin’ Alive” to help keep the right rhythm while doing chest compressions.
