Like many other movie theaters around the world, La Clef cinema in Paris was forced to close its doors to halt the spread of COVID-19. Now, the theater has found a way to keep some of the movie magic alive with film projections onto a building across the street.
Last Friday featured the screening of the 1955 Western “Man Without a Star.” Neighbors can see the projection from their windows and balconies and are even consulted on movie choices.
Watching a movie projection on a nearby building might not be quite the same experience as going to the theater, but the innovative idea is cultivating a much-missed sense of community during the lockdown.
