Airbus is developing a self-driving plane that takes off and lands like a helicopter. The electric plane has no controls on the inside of the cabin and an onboard computer serves as the pilot. The aircraft’s wings also tilt forward for flight like an airplane, allowing it travel twice as far as a helicopter. Airbus aims to have its autonomous air taxi carrying passenger in the next five years.
