If we want to gather more support for electric cars, the range of batteries is going to have to improve. A new paper by a team of researchers claims that the use of negative electrodes made of lithium metal could “dramatically increase battery storage capacity,” which could in turn drastically improve capabilities of electric-powered vehicles. The implementation of this breakthrough could potentially triple the range of electric vehicles, which would make buying an electric car a no-brainer.
