Tired of this educational model, a duo of social entrepreneurs are creating a non-traditional school near Chennai, India, that was designed to support the goal of cultivating happiness. The design of the school was inspired by a long-running Harvard study that has tracked people over the last 80 years, which found that strong relationships are key to a happy life. Research also points out the format of villages tends to foster strong relationship, so the layout of the campus mimics a village.
