Scientists have created robots that will be able to roll through fields and use computer vision to target and spray individual weeds as they go. This is important because it can dramatically reduce the need for herbicides by a factor of 20. Current farming methods involving spraying large amounts of herbicides over crops, but with the precision of these robots, that harmful practice will no longer be necessary.
