Deep beneath the border between France and Switzerland lies the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world famous particle accelerator created to help us discover the origins of life. The ring-shaped LHC is comprised of a series of icy-cold superconducting magnets that accelerate particles destined to smash into each other, which allows physicists to test out various theories concerning the structure of the world and the laws of physics. The LHC is one of the greatest technological feats of mankind, and now you can take a walk through it. Well, not in person, but virtually.
