There used to be a great stigma surrounding plant-based burgers, but now it seems those days are long gone after fast food giant Burger King announced plans to offer vegetarian Whoppers made using meatless patties from Impossible Foods. At 59 locations in and around St. Louis, customers will be able to purchase the Impossible Whopper. If all goes well, Burger King will roll out the Impossible Whopper nationally, which could prompt other fast food chains to start offering more vegetarian options. Eating fast food, of course, is not the best thing you can do for your health, but eating an Impossible Whopper is much healthier than the original one as it has few calories, zero trans fats, and is very low in cholesterol.
