  • WHY DID YOU BECOME AN OPTIMIST EMISSARY? I want to read the highest quality of articles, which can be hard to find, especially if life is busy. I’m picky about what I spend my time consuming, and sometimes finding anything worthwhile is discouragingly hard. The Optimist cuts out the mentally taxing process of searching through the fluffy stuff and provides me with discussions on long-term and deeply complex topics. I love the Optimist Daily because it gives me what I want to know now.

EMISSARY THOUGHTS

  • What Inspires Your Optimism? Crazy thinkers. I love reading or hearing about ideas that are so out-of-the-box that they open up a whole new perspective on the world. I live my life with the purpose of learning and growing every day, and am so inspired by all the amazing books there are to read, people to meet, music to dance to, and radical movements to form.
  • Favorite Optimist Daily Solutions? As a young adult, the dooms-day situation of our warming planet is so stressful that it is easy to lose hope. Every time I read a story on progress being made towards dealing with climate change, it reminds me that good work is being done! I also love the practical tips I can implement in my life right away – from more sustainable eating habits to techniques for channeling focus. Optimist Daily solutions help evolve my consciousness.
  • Favorite Optimistic Quote/ Book/ Film: “We all have the power of thought, so what could you possibly be lacking? If you have the willpower, then you can do anything.” – Dalai Lama XIV
