For mayoral candidate Randi Dorman, improving the city of Tuscon’s transportation has become a cornerstone of her campaign. The real estate developer wants to electrify the city’s bus fleet, expand the city’s streetcar system, and make the city more cycling-friendly. But rather than just say that she wants to make transportation cleaner, Dorman is practicing what she preaches and showing the city what it really means to travel green.

Dorman is choosing only active, zero-emissions transportation modes to get around during her campaign—including a bright orange and blue bike, a pair of orange Vans sneakers for door-knocking, and her own solar-powered Tesla (not orange, unfortunately) that runs on the city’s relentless sunshine. All the while she’s traveling around and campaigning when it’s more than 100 degrees out. For a look into Dorman’s remarkable quest to become the first female mayor of Tuscon, have a look right here.
