Today’s Solutions: November 21, 2024

Every year, tens of thousands of animals around the world are killed in trophy hunts, where endangered species like elephants, rhinos, and lions are gunned down by tourists eager to show off their spoils.

In an effort that could save the lives of thousands of such endangered animals, Britain plans to enact the toughest trophy hunting laws in the world, as the government announced they will be tabling a ban on the “morally indefensible” act.

Under the new policies, people from the UK will no longer be able to bring back endangered animal parts from Africa, as part of wide-ranging legislation that will also stop the import of exotic furs and rugs.

The move could see the lives of hundreds of elephants, lions, and other endangered species saved following decades of campaigning by animal rights groups.
