Today’s Solutions: November 21, 2024

This week, LA-based company Canoo opened its waitlist up for eager customers who want to get access to its funky-looking electric car. If you haven’t seen it, it seats seven, looks a bit like a jelly bean, and has a whole different design compared to traditional internal combustion engine automobiles.

The inside of the car is spacious and looks a bit like a futuristic lounge. The reason it has so much space is thanks to what Canoo calls a “skateboard,” a thin platform that holds the battery cells, powertrain, and suspension, leaving room for a spacious jelly bean-shaped pod on top.

Just like its design, Canoo also has interesting plans for the way people access their cars. Instead of owning it, Canoo is offering a subscription strategy designed to reduce an EV’s cost. You get the vehicle via a single all-inclusive monthly payment that includes maintenance, registration, access to insurance, and charging on a month-to-month basis.

Want to join the waiting list? Go for it—it’s no-obligation and doesn’t cost a thing!
