Often enough, senior dogs who can no longer be taken care of by the owners wind up in shelters where no one adopts them. After all, most potential pet owners want a young dog they can spend many years with. The sad truth, however, is that when a dog doesn’t get adopted, it often gets euthanized by the shelter.

That’s where Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary comes in. Located in New Jersey, Marty’s Place takes in older dogs whose owners could no longer care for them and gives them all the love and attention they could ever need.

Marty’s Place is a nonprofit that takes in dogs that are 7 years of age or older, with most dogs spanning anywhere between 10 to 18. It is a paradise for older dogs, with plenty of spaces to lounge and even a pool for dogs who like to swim. It is truly a paradise where they can happily live out their remaining years with fellow senior dogs and loving humans.
