Today’s Solutions: November 21, 2024

Late “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek collected quite the extensive wardrobe in his more than 35 years hosting the game show. After his passing last year, his family has decided to donate a significant portion of his wardrobe to The Doe Fund to help those in need get back on their feet.

The Doe Fund provides job training, resources, and support to those who have experienced addiction, homelessness, and incarceration. Part of their services is their Ready, Willing & Able program, which offers professional clothing for interviews so individuals can put their best foot forward in seeking professional opportunities.

According to Trebek’s family, the donation included 14 suits, 300 neckties, 15 belts, 58 dress shirts, 25 polo shirts, 14 sweaters, nine pairs of dress shoes, nine sports coats, two parkas, and three pairs of dress slacks. The donation was suggested by Trebek’s son, Matthew, who is involved with The Doe Fund and suggested this would be a great opportunity to honor his father’s wish of continuing to use Jeopardy! to provide support to those most in need.

Harriet McDonald, president of The Doe Fund, told CBS, “The men in our career training programs are always in need of professional attire, so they can shine in their job interviews and work with confidence once they’re hired.”
