The UK is set to build the world’s largest offshore wind farm 12 miles off the coast of Great Britain. The current largest offshore wind farm belongs to the UK as well, but this new one will generate even more power. In fact, this windfarm is expected to provide nearly a half million people with power for their homes. Although the UK already leads the world in offshore wind farming with 4.5 gigawatts in wind energy, it hopes projects like these will help it reach its lofty goals of producing more than 23 gigawatts by 2025.
