Standard Ebola tests are slow, they take 24-48 hours for results, an eternity for those potentially infected with the deadly virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has now approved the first quick response Ebola test—a test that requires no electricity, and gives the results in 15-minutes or less. This lighting fast test is the latest in numerous reports that indicate the Ebola outbreak is subsiding, and has the potential to be eradicated altogether.
