These results may seem startling in a country that has long taken pride in the dream of self-sufficient march to riches. If US entrepreneurs have been enjoying a rather less intrusive government than in other countries, research shows that the ability of the public sector to take care of the people has been playing a significantly positive role. Capitalism may not be solely the fruit of brazen adventurers and small government after all.
