India is famous, if not infamous, for its bureaucracy. The country has thousands of government buildings filled with billions of stacks of paper. But if it were for the government of prime minister Narendra Modi, soon that will all change. The government is working on a mobile application that’ll eventually bring some 200 central, state and local government services onto a single platform. From passport services to income tax, from railway ticket bookings to land records, Indian citizens will only need one app.
