As people in cities around the world attempt to cope with dangerous smog levels, many are turning to surgical masks to prevent inhaling the toxic fumes. The scarf, which has been named the Wair, has a tiny turbine that blows air through a filter that can catch virtually all microparticles. It can also communicate with an app that suggests the least polluted routes to cyclists and pedestrians. Fashionable and comfortable, the Wair is the better, more stylish alternative to surgical masks.
